These Terms of Service govern your use of the Academy for Hope website and online course platform at academyforhope.co.uk, operated by Oasis Charitable Trust. By enrolling in a course or using our platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Upon successful payment or free trial registration, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access the course content for your own private study. This licence does not permit you to:
Course access is provided on an ongoing basis for as long as the platform operates. We will give reasonable notice if the platform is to be discontinued.
The free trial grants access to the Introduction and Module 1 of the Academy for Hope course. Free trial access does not include the full course, assessments, audiobook, or eBook. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.
Academy for Hope operates a "Pay What You Can" model. You may choose to pay any amount from £1 up to twice the list price. All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
For the 4-monthly payment option, payments are charged automatically each month for four consecutive months. You will receive full course access from the date of your first payment. If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect the outstanding amount. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension of course access.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By providing your payment details, you authorise us to charge the amount you have selected.
We offer a 14-day refund from the date of purchase if you are not satisfied with the course. To request a refund, please email [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase date. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Refunds are not available after 14 days from the date of purchase, or if a significant portion of the course has been completed (more than 50% of modules accessed).
For the 4-monthly payment plan, you may cancel future payments within the 14-day window and receive a full refund of any amounts paid. After 14 days, future payments may be cancelled but amounts already paid are non-refundable.
Masterclass tickets are sold separately from the main course. Masterclass purchases are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or significantly changed by us. If we cancel a Masterclass, you will receive a full refund.
All course content — including videos, written materials, assessments, audiobook, and eBook — is the intellectual property of Oasis Charitable Trust and Steve Chalke. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any course content without our prior written consent.
When using the platform, you agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, without refund where the breach is serious.
The course content is provided for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or suitability of the content for any particular purpose. The views expressed by guest faculty are their own.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oasis Charitable Trust shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your course enrollment.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
